119th Infantry Regiment
Modern Era, United States, Infantry
The 119th Infantry Regiment is one of the modern lineages preserved in the Army's regimental system. It reflects the service's long practice of carrying unit identity, honors, and history forward through redesignation and changing force structures.
Its historical profile is more institutional than narrative, but that preserved identity still matters in understanding the Army's organizational depth.
The 119th Infantry therefore forms part of the Army's broader continuity across the modern era.
